Thanks everyone, for gathering friends and colleagues and joining together to serve Geneva-area people and organizations. We had a team serving breakfast at Salvation Army from 6:00 am, a team clearing and cleaning a room for Carrefour Rue and laying new carpet, and teams in two Payot locations who volunteered their time in the late evening to help count inventory, in exchange for a generous donation from Payot to the Red Cross. Thank you to everyone who participated!
Description of the event activities
The Red Cross project is to inventory books at local bookstores, who will then donate funds to the Red Cross for their children’s projects. The inventory event is an evening project and will take place on Saturday, September 22 at the Payot Chantepoulet bookshop, from 17h30 to 21h00. Details of the programs being funded are on the Red Cross website here.

Clairbois, another Geneva service provider, would like 4 people to help take the Clair Bois Lancy kids to the nearby Salève mountain by cable-car. They plan to do Botanical Trail #7, followed by a meal in the panoramic restaurant (if the weather permits).
The Salvation Army has 40 new guests in their facility, and we would like some help to prepare dinner for the guests, from 18h00 to 22h00.
On Sunday 23 September, the Sunday soup kitchen needs a group of 6 to help prepare and clean up after the Sunday meal, organized by Resto’Scout.
